The mine has coal reserves amounting to 877 million tonnes of coking coal, one of the largest coal reserves in Australia & the world. It is owned by the BHP Mitsubishi Alliance & has an annual production capacity of 13 million tonnes of coal.

Their experienced dr, nurses & reception staff place a strong emphasis on providing high quality, personalised health care. The friendly, professional staff aim to provide a comfortable + compassionate atmosphere where the relationship b/w the practice & pts is one of partnership & open communication. Their focus is on the provision of coal board & pre-employment medicals (PEMs) & they are QIP (Quality, Innovation, Performance) accredited. If a worker has been hurt at work, the Dr is a certified provider of Work Cover Injury Management Programs + a range of other OH&S examinations.
Appointment cost: Actual fees may vary based on the treatment received during the appointment & if a pt has preferred provider private health insurance.
Billing policy: They are a mixed billing practice. Pts will need to present current concession cards such as pension or health care cards to be eligible for BB.

This DPA & MMM5 practice would be ideal for a restricted GP (suitable for an OTD in training who is able to work w/out a GP onsite). GP's require accreditation to provide QLD coal board medical assessments. If not already undertaken, the short training is not overly onerous; it needs to be booked & paid online. The Dr at this practice is fully supported by 2x Nurses (1x EN – F/T+ 1x RN – P/T) + an office mngr, as well as a jnr & snr receptionist. Site visits as mutually agreed.
